Street Scenes: Thailand’s Longest Road

Sukhumvit Road is the longest in Thailand. It runs about 400 kilometers from Bangkok to Trat, which is close to the Cambodian border.

Sukhumvit cuts through the center of modern Bangkok with numbered sois (streets) sprouting on each side. Pictured here is the perpetual traffic that clogs this major urban artery.

Nice angle from which the photo is captured, gives a good perspective. What is the lens used in this?

Stephen, I used a zoom lens.

The lines in this shot, from the traffic to the crossing and the uprights of the overhead rail line give this image a special feel. I checked on the overhead rail on the Internet, because I was sure that I had heard that they'd built it, although it certainly didn't exist when I walked sections of that road many years back...

Hi Andrew, Road the Sky Train quite a bit. Great public transportation option.
