Street Scenes: First Family’s Neighbor
Meet the First Family’s neighbor. She isn’t new to the neighborhood. Parked in front of the White House in Washington, D.C. is Concepcion W. Thomas. Since 1981 she has held a 24-hour vigil peacefully protesting nuclear weapons.

Wow,how does she do it, I wonder!Nice to read these interesting tid bits,something you don't come across on your regular internet search.
Here in London we have Brian Haw who has protested in Parliament Square for a long time as well, since 2001. He even received a political award for being inspirational back in 2007.
How is she able to stick on ? Isn't she a threat to security there ?
Global Warming - another problem.
I really admire her conviction. You'd think somebody would have seriously addressed her and this issue by now.
I also admire her conviction to continue long after most others would have given up.
