Nicaragua: Couple In Market

It’s been longer than usual since my last post. I’m currently in the midst of shooting a New York City guidebook. It’s a joy to photograph my own city on assignment and it’s keeping me busy. There is plenty more to come in more detail on my recent travels to Tokyo, Seoul and Nicaragua.

In the meantime I leave you with this photograph of a couple in Granada’s market. Nicaragua is by far one of the friendliest countries I’ve traveled to so far. It exudes a positive energy generated by its people. Which countries have you found the people the friendliest?

One of the friendliest cities we have fond is Xiamen, China. The people are warm, friendly and always curious.

I agree the people of Nicaragua are among the most friendly in the world. I was also amazed by the Cambodian people. Both countries with so little money but so generous with what they can give - warmth and a welcoming smile.

Oddly enough, I've found that one does not need to travel very far to find friendly people. I'm always delighted by my interactions with others in Canada or in Mexico.

That's a wonderful photo, the warmth exudes from it. In my experience, Mexicans, Cruzans (St. Croix) and Brazilians are particularlly friendly.

CMG, Thank you. Hope you enjoyed the day as well.

Tina, I've always wanted to go there.

Helly, I felt the same way about Cambodia.

Megan and Fly Girl, I also find Mexico very friendly and love traveling there.

Jordan was amazing for friendliness. And so too India - where else would a family vacate the only bedroom and sleep with other relatives so you could have the only bed and bathroom?! And I had only met them an hour earlier! Amazing
